Emily has a background in teaching and facilitating dance. Her main experience derives from her year long placement with Stopgap Dance Company where she worked as an administrative and tour assistant as well as Dance Support Artist.

Since then Emily has worked in a variety of settings, mainly specialising in movement and working with young people or those with Educational needs and physical disabilities. Emily worked as Theatre Youth Assistant at The Mercury Theatre, Colchester where she assisted weekly classes for a range of age groups. She also regularly teaches classes for Suffolk based charity Musica. In these classes she emphasises the collaborative way she likes to work, rather than teaching a pre determined piece of choreography.

Emily is currently teaching regular classes at The Assist Trust which is a Norwich based progression day service for adults with learning disabilities in Norfolk.
